Michael Barnett Executive Vice President, Institutional
 
Michael Barnett is Executive Vice President at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, he is responsible for leading the firm’s institutional business. He is a member of Fidelity Canada’s Senior Executive team.

Mr. Barnett joined Fidelity in 1999 and has over 30 years’ industry experience, having held numerous senior leadership roles within Fidelity Investments. Mr. Barnett first became head of Fidelity Canada’s Institutional business in 2006, relocating to the U.S. as head of North American sales in 2010, before returning to Canada as head of Fidelity Canada Institutional in 2012.

Rajan Burney Vice President, Institutional Client Management
 
Rajan Burney is Vice President, Institutional Client Management, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, he leads the Canadian team responsible for the investment servicing primarily of Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, endowment, foundation and taxable corporate asset clients, as well as banks and insurance companies.

Mr. Burney joined Fidelity as a Senior Fund Analyst in 1999. In this role, he was responsible for communicating the Fidelity investment story to plan sponsors, conducting fund analysis and managing the FundsNet program of external managers and funds. Before joining Fidelity, Mr. Burney was an analyst with SEI Investments’ asset consulting practice in Toronto, where he was responsible for the analysis of pension, endowment and foundation assets of plan sponsors and portfolios managed primarily by institutional investment managers.

Lawrence Lim is a Director, Institutional Client Management, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, he is responsible for investment servicing of defined benefit, defined contribution, endowment, foundation and taxable corporate asset accounts.

Mr. Lim joined the firm in 2013 and has over 20 years’ industry experience. Before taking his current role, he served as Vice President of institutional client services at investment management firm Standard Life Investments Inc.

Jeffrey Poulin is a Director, Institutional Client Management, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, he is responsible for the investment servicing of defined benefit, defined contribution, endowment, foundation and taxable corporate asset accounts, primarily in Quebec and the Maritimes.

Mr. Poulin joined Fidelity in 2012 and has over 35 years’ industry experience, having worked in client relations and business development, as well as researching, monitoring and recommending investment managers to the institutional investment platform.

Vincent Yu is Director, Institutional Client Management, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, he is responsible for the investment servicing of defined benefit, defined contribution, endowment, foundation and taxable corporate asset accounts.

Mr. Yu joined Fidelity in 2015 and has over ten years’ industry experience. Before assuming his current role, he was an Investment Analyst on Fidelity’s Institutional Products and Marketing team, covering Canadian and U.S. equity strategies.

Samantha Lamon Institutional Services Manager
 
Samantha Lamon is an Institutional Services Manager at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, she is responsible for managing relationships with select Ontario clients, responding to client requests for information, managing the reporting and presentation processes and leading key projects on behalf of the Institutional Client Management team.

Ms. Lamon joined Fidelity’s institutional business in 2001 as a Supervisor, Sales Support, and assumed the role of Sales Analyst in 2006, working on a cross-border business development initiative. She has also worked with the Consultant Relations and RFP teams.

Catherine Dimitriadis is Vice President, Institutional Sales, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, she is responsible for institutional investment management sales, focusing on the defined benefit, foundation and endowment marketplace in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and parts of Central Ontario.

Ms. Dimitriadis joined Fidelity in January 2017, and has extensive experience in institutional equity sales, having developed and maintained client relationships with leading financial institutions in Canada in her previous role.

Philippe Potvin is Vice President, Institutional Sales, at Fidelity Canada Institutional™. In this role, he is responsible for institutional investment management sales focusing on the defined benefit, foundation and endowment marketplace in Quebec, Eastern Canada and Ottawa.
 
Hailing from the village of Saint-Sauveur in the heart of the Laurentians, Mr. Potvin joined Fidelity in 2008 in advisor sales, as a business development manager in the Toronto office, initially covering the downtown Toronto core, and then the Quebec region. In 2010 he moved to Edmonton as District Vice President, where he successfully serviced and grew Fidelity’s market share in Northern Alberta. During this time, Mr. Potvin also partnered with the institutional team, developing opportunities through his advisor contacts that led to new institutional relationships. As a multiple Awards of Distinction winner, he has been a strong leader on the Western Canada team.

David Shedd is Vice President, Institutional Sales, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, he is responsible for institutional investment management sales, focusing on the Defined Contribution (DC) and Defined Benefit (DB) pension, foundation, and endowment marketplace in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

Before joining Fidelity’s Toronto office in 2001, he worked in the banking industry in London, U.K., and New York, as well as in international sales for a U.S. manufacturer.

Shane Ayres is Vice President, Institutional Distribution, at Fidelity Canada Institutional™. In this role, he leads the firm’s Platform Businesses (Defined Contribution, Sub Advised, Package Programs and Insurance). He was appointed to this position in February 2012.

Mr. Ayres joined Fidelity in 2004 and has over 20 years’ industry experience. Before taking his current role, Mr. Ayres was Manager, DC Program Development, and was responsible for several major initiatives to advance the firm’s DC business. He was subsequently promoted to Director, Institutional Sales and Service, responsible for overseeing divisional strategic initiatives and client onboarding, as well as the day-to-day operations of the business.

Himesh Patel is Director, Key Accounts at Fidelity Canada Institutional™. In this role, he is responsible for establishing and expanding the firm’s relationships with IIROC platform manager research teams across Canada.
 
Prior to his current role, Mr. Patel was an ETF Strategist where he was responsible for communicating the firm’s ETF investment strategies, industry trends and portfolio construction ideas to clients, prospects and industry experts. Mr. Patel joined Fidelity in 2011 and has held various roles within the institutional and retail product departments, including being a founding member responsible for launching Fidelity’s ETF business in 2018.

Ms. Wong joined Fidelity in 1998 as an Institutional Fund Analyst and was promoted to Vice President, Consultant Relations, in 2009, having held various management positions on the Consultant Relations team since 2003.

In this role, she is responsible for maintaining relationships with the pension consultant community in Ontario and Western Canada, communicating Fidelity’s asset management capabilities and partnering with consultants to help provide solutions for their clients.

With over 15 years’ industry experience, Ms. Lim joined Fidelity as a Manager, Consultant Relations, in 2011, responsible for providing support for the Consultant Relations team, maintaining Fidelity’s presence in consultants’ databases and managing the RFP team.

Mr. Hendy joined Fidelity in 2014 and has over 15 years’ industry experience. Before joining Fidelity, he was a research analyst at Pavilion Advisory Group, responsible for researching Canadian equity and Canadian fixed income investment managers. He has also worked for the Bombardier Inc. pension fund as an investment analyst.

Mr. Rajwani joined Fidelity in 2017 and has nearly ten years’ industry experience. Before joining Fidelity, Mr. Rajwani managed distribution services for institutional, advisory and retail clients in Australia.

Anna Tran is Consultant Relations Manager at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, she is responsible for managing client requests and maintaining relationships with consultant analysts and junior consultants, as well as OCIO consultants.

Ms. Tran joined Fidelity in 2015 and has over five years’ industry experience. Before taking her current role, Ms. Tran held various analyst roles in which she performed fund and market analysis, as well as delivering RFPs and client reports.

Ms. Vurma joined Fidelity in 2010 and has over 15 years’ industry experience, having previously fulfilled business analysis and project management roles in the information technology division at Fidelity, as well as roles in fund accounting.

Ms. Boujnane has over 20 years’ industry experience and was previously responsible for account administration in the private investment and institutional operations area. She also has experience providing retirement services to pension plan sponsors and their employees.

Ms. Ahmad joined Fidelity as an Analyst in 2005 and has 15 years’ industry experience. She held various roles in financial analysis, branch management and investment operations within Fidelity before joining the institutional team in 2016.

Mr. Strachan joined Fidelity in 2005 and has over 20 years’ industry experience. Before assuming his current position, he was Vice President, Head of Product, overseeing the development and management of Fidelity’s retail and institutional product offerings. Previously, Mr. Strachan held various roles in Products and Marketing, as well as Advisor Distribution.

Adriana Meixner is Director, Institutional Products and Solutions, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, she leads a team of investment analysts responsible for the management of Fidelity’s institutional product offerings, as well as the development of new investment products for the institutional marketplace.

Ms. Meixner joined Fidelity in 2006 as an investment analyst covering Asian equities, based in the Fidelity International Hong Kong office. She subsequently relocated to Canada as a senior investment analyst, covering the Canadian equity and balanced product range of both mutual funds and institutional portfolios. Before assuming her current role in 2018, she was Director, Market Research, for seven years, and has 20 years’ industry experience.

Laïta Le Maguer is Director, Institutional Marketing, at Fidelity Canada Institutional. In this role, she leads the firm’s marketing efforts in support of driving awareness of Fidelity’s solutions among Canadian institutional investors.

Ms. Le Maguer has over 20 years’ industry experience. Before taking her current role, she held a number of roles of increasing seniority, including as an implementation manager in Fidelity Canada’s recordkeeping business. Before joining Fidelity, she worked at Trimark (now Invesco), providing retirement services to pension plan sponsors and their employees.
