Webcast: Impact investing with direct real estate
Kim Politzer, Head of Research for European Real Estate at Fidelity International, discusses how Europe’s regulatory drive toward net zero is creating investment opportunities in the European commercial real estate landscape.
A classic supply-demand imbalance may be building in Europe’s commercial real estate market:
- With more than 40% of Europe’s carbon emissions coming from buildings, companies must meet their carbon reduction requirements by choosing to lease space in more efficient buildings.
- With 81% of building stock requiring material upgrades, there are insufficient properties to meet this demand.
Kim shares what some asset managers are doing to take advantage of this investment opportunity.
